A noble fantasy lady

A noble fantasy lady with a dress inspired by aristocratic clothing from 16th-century Italy, and by steampunk.

I made my own character generator which includes the categories: character trait, race/position, place of traditional clothing and modern fashion styles. When I picked a randomly from each category using an online tool, I got the prompt (in the order mentioned above) "feminine, noble, Italy, steampunk.” This drawing is the result of sticking to this prompt. I drew inspiration from the lavish and detailed clothing worn by nobles from 16th century Italy. I also took directly from 18th century European clothing as this is one of the elements of modern steampunk. I added hardware and a cage skirt to give a more industrial vibe. The pattern on the skirt is from a fragment of velvet from 16th century, Italy from The Cleveland Museum Of Art and can be found here: https://www.clevelandart.org/art/1916.1390.a

This was a tricky design to create because of how different the aesthetics of the prompts were to each other. Even now, I feel that there could be a better balance between the aesthetics. However, I do still like the result.
